Whenever we hear about a natural disaster, a mud slide, a forest fire or even a hurricane or earthquake we have great concern about all the people affected. Most come out of it all right but there are injuries, some nearly fatal, and it is at those times that blood donations for potential surgery are vital!
This is not just true for humankind but for beasts too. It may not come to mind right away but dogs can be injured too during those unfortunate times.
This means dogs often need operations and blood transfusions, but where does the blood they need come from? Doggy blood donors, of course!
