Many dogs need loving homes where they feel safe and cared for. This is why there are many people that foster stray dogs to find them a good home. Unfortunately, sometimes these stray dogs can escape and finding them again can be difficult. One little girl had a plan that made all the difference. It will leave you amazed!
A Little Girl's Plan To Rescue A Foster Dog That Got Loose Was:
Daisy was adopted by a family in Hollister, CA. Two days later, she escaped from their backyard and ran away.
Two months passed as members of Hollister Animal Lost & Found community searched for Daisy and repeatedly attempted and failed to capture her.
Enter Karen Topping and her six-year-old daughter, Meghan. The family had fostered Daisy for a few weeks.
They drove forty minutes down to Hollister and found her in a field where she’d been spotted many times. Meghan formed a plan.
According to Meghan:
She told me. Because you can talk to dogs in your brain. She told me if Mom stayed in the truck she would come to me and I believed it.
Meghan walked into the field and took a seat on the ground. There she sat and waited, Daisy slowly made her way over to six-year-old girl. Within moments, Meghan was petting Daisy.
Wow! This story is so incredible. The dog apparently communicated with the girl in a very special way. When the littler girl decided to try and retrieve Daisy, the dog remembered the bond she had with Meghan and in the process, Daisy came right to her. The sweet pooch wasn't scared of Meghan at all and seemed happy to see her! Aww, this happy ending for Daisy is so heartwarming. We're so glad that she has a forever family to go home to as well.
