Uncovering the Truth as to Why Most Dogs Don’t Like to be Hugged

Hugging Dog

You can play with your dog, throw a ball, wrestle, and do nearly anything reasonable. They love a good, comfortable pet, even a gentle slap on the rump, but when your arm goes around him for an affectionate hug, you pup suddenly stands very still.

A good dog will stand there and take the hug. Perhaps, you even think he’s being respectful and enjoying the moment. However, more than likely – as it turns out – he may just be tolerating it.

Why? We have to wonder why our pooches might not like an embrace that is all about warmth and love.
