For us humans, we spend most of our day running errands, furthering our careers, taking care of our loved ones, etc. While many of us would love to be able to take a nap whenever we please, we don't even consider grabbing some zzz's until the sun begins to set. It's just part of our nature.
On the other hand, we notice how our furbabies seem to be able to nap endlessly. My 3-year-old dog, for example, has a mid-morning nap, an early afternoon nap, and a late afternoon nap.
Sometimes, he even outdoes himself and will throw in another nap or two. Humans couldn't imagine being able to sleep that often so our dogs' sleep schedules are often a head-scratcher.
