At first, I was afraid to watch this video because I wasn't sure there was a happy ending. I mentally prepared myself for the worst, but ended up with a pleasant (and tearful) surprise!
When your family experiences a tragedy, it's emotional for everyone involved, including your dogs. They react just as we do. We often forget that they face their own trauma because they can't communicate that in words.
Unfortunately, dogs become lost or run away during frightening events, leaving them in an even worse situation. However, with some luck and through the efforts of other dog lovers, we often get to watch them be reunited with their families.
