It's crazy to think that dogs get left in the car when it's too hot for them to survive, but unfortunately many pet owners do this without even thinking about the deadly consequences. Check out this story about a poor dog who was trapped in a car on a hot day. Find out how his life was saved!

When Royals fans Josh Lee, his wife Erin, son Hudson, and brother Michael Warner left in the eighth inning of the 13 inning game, headed to their car, parked in an un-shaded parking lot while outside temperatures reached into the 90’s on that cloudless day, they heard what sounded like a dog whimpering nearby.

The group discovered a young puppy, around 16 weeks old, locked in a car. They contacted Kansas City Police who alerted Royals guest services.

The puppy was handed over to Royals staff who cared for him while waiting for the owner to step forward. An hour after the game ended with a Royals win, the puppy had still not been claimed.

WOW! It's amazing to see that this adorable puppy was saved just in the nick of time! Any longer and that poor pooch would have succumbed to the heat. Hopefully, he is able to find a happy home where he will never be left in a hot car!
