So you want to enjoy your yard without your doggy eating your flowers and digging the dirt? Teach him to stay in the same spot! This takes a little bit more training than just telling him to “Stay.” Over a series of days or even weeks depending on your pooch, you can teach him to stay in a spot where you'd like him to hang out in your backyard.
This type of command will come in handy when company is around as well. If you'd like to keep your pooch out of harm's way (or away from food he can't have), teaching him this command is the way to go.
