Both humans and dogs often wake up with one major thing to deal with: eye boogers. Luckily, they can be erased with a quick swipe of the hand!
As with humans, your dog's eye boogers could mean absolutely nothing. They could simply be a sign of a good night's rest full of puppy dreams! Your dog may even realize that they don't belong there and use his paw to shove those nasty things out of the corners of his eyes. No harm, no foul!
However, if you're consistently having to battle your dog to eradicate the eye boogers, there could be something more serious going on. Your dog's eyes are what allow him to see his favorite bone, know where his water is and know how to get home on a walk. You don't want to let the eye boogers win and cause permanent damage.
