This Proposed Bill Would Ban the Selling of Non-Rescue Dogs and Cats Across Entire State of California

When we were kids our Mom used to sing us a song: “How much is that doggy in the window? The one with the waggly tail. How much is that doggy in the window… I sure hope he is for sale!” It was a song written in 1952 and originally sung by Patti Page. At the time we never really wondered if that dog was a rescue animal!

Thirty-one cities across California are already doing it but law makers are proposing a bill that would legally ban the sale of non-rescue dogs and cats in retail stores statewide!

What will this mean to breeders and puppy mills? If you are a legitimate breeder we imagine you will be selling out of your backyard or through another source. However, if you are a puppy mill – that cranks out puppies like a PEZ dispenser, it will more than likely put you out of business.
