10 Signs a Dog is in Pain and is Unintentionally Hiding it From Their Human

Our dogs can be a big conundrum. The smallest thing can set them off, cause them to drop to the floor and whine like small children, particularly if they don’t get their way in something that they deem important. Often, and oddly, when they are ill, we do not know about it right away.

Our pooches – unless it becomes unavoidable – do not want to be around us or will even hide the fact that they are not well. Part of this may be a desire for privacy and may be similar to the way we will often just go to bed to “sleep off” our illness when we are not feeling our best.

However, they may also feel afraid and possibly think they are not well because they have done something wrong.

Whatever the case, there are indications, and we have a great list of ten signs or symptoms that will indicate when your dog is in pain – and unintentionally hiding it from you.
