Pennsylvania is known as one of the largest puppy mill states in the U.S. with over 900 puppy mills, according to the Humane Society of The United States. Lancaster County was once dubbed the “Puppy Mill Capital of the U.S.”

We encourage you to write to your city leaders and join other municipalities who currently have banned the sale of puppy mill dogs in 2016! As well as the cities mentioned on page one, this also includes Las Vegas, Nevada, Boston, Massachusetts and Tempe, Arizona. Get the word out and encourage your friends and family to adopt and not shop!
