We all love our dogs so much it is hard to imagine how anyone could not have wanted them. Unfortunately, everyday shelter dogs get overlooked unless they have something about them that makes people take notice.

Riley was taken to the shelter by someone who was homeless and that's when the staff had the genius idea to help the dog get adopted by teaching him how to smile.

“My kennel technician, Britney Ridge, fell in love with his personality and for whatever reason thought that Riley was one of those dogs that could smile,” Gina Knepp of Front Street Animal Shelter told The Dodo.

This sweet 2-year-old boy is not only social and friendly towards everyone he meets, it turned out he was smart and easy to train. “Britney whipped out her phone to capture that quirky sweet smile and magic happened,” Knepp said.
This story is so touching and that smile is incredible. Hopefully, that smile will be impossible for anyone to resist. Then this dog will finally get the home he deserves. Then he will really have a great reason to smile all the time!
