Charlie was a senior fellow overlooked in the shelter system. But those facts didn’t mean much. Charlie’s (new) humans took him home, loved him, and adopted a kitten to keep him company.

Charlie was the poster dog for gentle-giants. He was so careful with Scout, and the two coexisted beautifully. If we’re being honest, though, it was so much more than just coexisting. They were absolutely inseparable.

In the last few weeks of Charlie’s life, he became very sick—it was cancer. He was frequently separated from Scout to go in and out of the vet’s office.
When Charlie passed, Scout’s human tried to make the transition a little easier by playing videos of Charlie on an iPad for her.

Rest in peace, Charlie. You’ll never be forgotten, especially by your little (kitten) sister.
WOW. These two were really great friends. They were inseparable! They really redefined friendship and loyalty. Charlie was lucky to have such an amazing kitty by his side. He is gone now but never forgotten by Scout or anyone else.
