What Might You Be Doing That’s Driving Your Vet Nuts?! Find Out Here!

vet with a dog

Your pooch deserves the best care in the world, and a vet can give her that. So if she's really sick don't wait to take her to the vet — it's better to be safe tan sorry. If she's your fur baby, then you'll make sure she's well taken care of.

Also, when you do take your pup to the vet make sure you tell them everything they need to know. If your pooch is prone to biting, be honest! A vet doesn't want to get bitten when it could be prevented. For more ways that you may be annoying your vet, keep reading and check out I Heart Dogs:

#1 – Not Prepared for Responsibility
Dog owners sometimes fail to be prepared for the responsibility of pet ownership.

#2 – Using Google as a Vet
[Many] pet owners trust the internet over consulting their veterinarian. I’ve seen too many pets come to the veterinarian’s office too late because Google said their dog would be fine

#3 – Won’t Pay for Vet Care
When pet owners spend a lot of money on doggie clothes, day care, beds, and toys and then complain about the reasonable costs of veterinary care.

#4 – Waiting too Long to Seek Help
In the past I’ve heard, “He only vomits two or three times a day.” How many times a day do you vomit? Please go to the veterinarian sooner rather than later!

#5 – Forgets to tell you Their Dog Bites
After the dog snaps at you and nearly ends your life, the owner mentions how their dog almost always tries to bite strangers— especially veterinary-related strangers.

#6 – Having to Handle the Owner to Handle the Dog
When small dog owners hold their dog very, very, very close to their bosom and when you ask to examine the dog, you literally have to pry the dog away from that bosom.
