Friend Returns His Lost Pug, But When He Pets Her, She Seems Different

two pugs

Bella? Not-Bella? Who can tell the difference? One does have a darker mussel than the other but when you are lonely, wanting nothing better than to be reunited with your best friend, we can understand the confusion. Still, it is good to see that Luke saw the error!

When Neville began petting Bella, he could tell something was off. A feeling in his gut told him that although the dog looked like Bella, this was not his dog. It can be difficult to tell members of the same breed apart, but when it’s your dog, you tend to just know.

What followed for the next few days was a scramble to find his missing dog Bella and track down his new pug’s rightful owners.

Luke, of course, took care of his new friend while poking fun at the little lady.

Luke checked the classifieds again for missing pets and found a posting for what he thought was the pug he was mistakenly given. He contacted the owner, and he had a hit!

You can just imagine the confusion of the not-Bella pug: “Who is he and why is he calling me that strange name?”

It is great to report that Bella has been reunited with Luke and not-Bella was also returned to her owner. For a while it seemed like Luke would be opening up his home to two pugs for the duration — but we are very pleased to see the happy ending.
