Discover How One Woman is Helping Senior Dogs Get Noticed – This Brought Me to Tears!

Did you know that typically the younger the dog, the more likely they will be adopted? Older dogs can stay in shelters for years — sometimes even forever. If that isn't heartbreaking I don't know what is.

Photographer Stacey Gammon can attest to this because she discovered this while volunteering at her local shelter, which is why she created The Gift of Golden Years Project.

All expenses are covered by the program for the rest of their lives. Whether abandoned at shelters, found as strays, or nearly given up on due to rising medical costs, the Mr. Mo Project gave each of these seniors a second chance at life, as well as so many, many more.

Stacey Gammon has gone out of her way to show others that senior dogs are highly adoptable. With more projects like this, we just might be on our way of advocating senior dog adoption and finding them all a forever home, because they deserve it!
