Making Sure All Goes Smoothly When You Introduce a New Dog to Your Current Pooch

Bringing another doggy into your family can be an exciting time but if you already have another pooch at home, there's going to be an adjustment period. There are a few things you can do to ensure a smooth transition, however. Don't bring your current pooch with you when you pick up your new doggy. This will prevent tension from forming while you're driving. It's best to introduce them on leashes later on.

After you bring your new pup home, don't ever force them to interact. If they don't take to one another right away, it's alright. Each doggy may take his own time to get used to one another and if they're not BFF's right away be patient. One is completely new to her surroundings and the other all of a sudden has a new sibling!
