6. Pugs tend to get into things if you're not careful, so keep all food and dog treats out of reach!

Since Pugs are so motivated by food (remember #3 and #4?!) it's important you keep all dog treats and human food out of reach. This includes making sure they get into the garbage can!

The last thing you want to happen is to come home and see that your Pug found some food or worse got into the trash and had a hay day eating things he shouldn't be ingesting.

Do yourself a favor and store food, treats, and whatever else out of your Pug's reach. Because it's important to remember… he's very motivated by food (and occasionally by toys)!

And sometimes it may make him a tad grumpy if he doesn't get his own way, but roll with it. 😉

After reading these truths about Pugs with the help of some fun illustrations, what do you think? Do you still want to get a Pug?! LOL, don't let these realities dissuade you from getting this doggie breed because he is more than worth it.

Pugs are wonderful doggies who deserve a lot of love because they're going to give you unconditional love back. Get ready to enjoy a velcro dog! LOL!
