Open up to This and Bonding With a Fur Baby is Incredibly Easy

Here are just a few ideas, some rather simple but complex at the same time, on how we can open up and bond further with our doggies. If you think about it there are so many different ways to bond with our dogs! We know we love and need them – but why?

Unconditional Love. Our pets offer us the very definition of unconditional love. They accept us just as we are, every minute of the day. They love us when we’re away, and when we come home. They love us when we’re mean, mad, sad or impatient. They love us when we’re attentive, and when we ignore them.

Friendship. It’s no surprise the title “Man’s best friend” refers to our canine companions. Our dogs (and cats, and hamsters, and birds, and turtles, etc.) are great company. They help us feel less lonely, disconnected and isolated.

Relief From Stress. Many of us live very busy, stressful lives, and while there are lots of good ways to reduce stress, coming home to a pet is certainly one of the best. Playing with your furry or feathered companion is a great way to relax and release all that pet-up anxiety. Just the simple act of petting a cat or dog can reduce cortisol levels and trigger a release of endorphins.

And, of course, there are many other things our dogs offer us without reservation. You can find more over on Healthy Pets.

In the end, they truly are “man’s best friend” and we, as their pet parents, need to take that to heart. That does not mean we have to over-spoil them. Like with our human children, discipline is needed. But, as long as it is done with heart and love, Fido understands.

2017 is here! Let’s celebrate it with a better understanding of everything around us, including our open and loving best friend!
