The routines we set for our dogs help us to communicate better with them and tell them what to expect. My dog even comes to get me when his afternoon walk is delayed as if to say “Did you forget about our standing walk appointment?” We wonder if they can somehow tell time, but it's just their own internal clock! Clearly, Piper's favorite time of the day is walk time. I think many other doggies would agree! Watching her fixated on her harness and staying intent on following her mom at 2:01 is an activity that many dog owners recognize. However, playtime is a close second! I loved watching her keep an eye on her dad at 3:02 just in case he tried to swoop in and grab that toy. Piper has a much more exciting routine than I do!
