Doggies giving birth is, of course, not uncommon. Yet, there is something so very interesting about it, watching as new life emerges from the body of a caring Momma-dog; observing how instinct takes over and the Momma keeps her little ones close even as she is giving birth to others!
She knows she needs to take care of them all but also, being domesticated, looks to us – her human family – to take care of her during these unusual, tiring, and trying times.
Watch as a sweet Pug from Ohio named Lucy delivers her precious litter of adorable babies! We are uncertain if this is Lucy’s first litter but there are a few times she looks up at the camera as if asking what is going on and she wants her own Momma's advice. And, of course, Mom complies without hesitation!
